Back to School 2016-2017!

We had a fun first day of school. It was nice to see lots of familiar faces in several of my classes, and a few new ones as well. We completed a "Name Tent," which is one of the AVID Relational Capacity strategies we will be using school wide. The students used their creativity and produced some colorful name tents. Students used their name tents in my ELD classes to introduce themselves to their peers. Our goal is to learn everyone's name as soon as possible. All in all, it was a great first day back and I look forward to tomorrow and the rest of the year!
